These are the reason why I hesitate when considering buying another Koontz book. I didn't like Odd Thomas because he killed the book at around page 104, when he slowed everything down to a crawl.
Lightning was excellent, but Cold Fire was/is/will always be...his best work. The husband was very good. The face sucked.
When he wrote under pen names, the book was the genre we wanted.
Hideaway was my first Koontz book and that rocked.
I've read most of his work, but I can't say that I've read ALL of the book, but I admire the guy for the amount of work he puts out. I'd love to have graphomania and work 10 hours a day, 7 days a week on the craft.
Am I a Koontz fan? Yes. Am I a die-hard fan? No.
