[grimoire] October reading

[I posted this yesterday, but cavesofice put SPAM in the subject line, so it may have gotten kicked by some mail handlers.  I'm trying with a different title to see if it makes any difference.  Can someone let me know if you get this?]

OK, it's been pretty quiet here aside from Jack and Jason, so it's time to throw out the standard October question of what everyone is reading this month?  Does anyone else try to focus on Halloween-type reads in October?  By that I mean either books set at Halloween or traditional ghost stories.

I read James Moore's Blood Red while we were on vacation last week, and it is a very good vampire novel.  I started Al Sarrantonio's Orangefield after that, but am less than halfway through it.  I'm also planning to pick up my copy of A Pleasing Terror (complete works of M R James) and read some more stories from there as well.  I may also crack my copy of October Dreams and read some things from there -- it's been a few years.
