I have a feeling I've seen those books but for some reason didn't pick them up. The name rings a bell. I'll take another look.
Thanks
Ken

Ken,
Another pair of good dino/time travel books are Footprints of Thunder and Thunder of Time (both) by James F. David. There were some continuity problems in the latter, but I'd be glad to send you my list of them (which I sent to the author in case he was planning a pbk. ed.).

That sounds good then. I can forgive a lot (paper thin plot, stereotypical characters, etc) as long as the monsters are cool. If I'm reading a book that's got a human "monster" (eg: Hannibal) then it needs to be better written to hold my interest.
Thanks guys.

Let's see. Awoken from a prehistoric sleep sounds like the two I
recently read by Thomas P. Hopp: Dinosaur Wars and Dinosaur Wars:
Counterattack.
While not the strongest on characters, Hopp hooked me with the action on
page 1 of each book. There is enough "horror" that they aren't really
kids books (YA maybe).
Clickers is excellent, and better than many of the Brit school
monsters--more "American".
