I am reading this book and like many of the tales. I found 'The Catapillar' to be very creepy and haunting. I also found 'The Cliff' to be somewhat of a intriguing.

Most people know of Rampo through his short story, "The Human Chair."

For good reason. One, b/c "The Human Chair" is a great story. Two, b/c none of his other stories are nearly as good.

There were 9 stories in this "best of" collection, and "The Human Chair" was the only one with a sense of suspense or intrigue. I was very disappointed.

Next up is Monica O'Rourke's SUFFER THE FLESH
