The more I read Gerlach, the more he reminds me of a poor man's Richard 
Laymon.  I know that he is a protege' of Laymon and he runs the Richard 
laymon website too.

LOVE LIES DYING was kinda lengthy, but yet engrossing throughout the book.  
I did see one of the twists at the end from a mile away, but it was still 
fun to see the characters work it out for themselves.  I'd recommend this 
book for a Gerlach or Laymon fan, but as it is a small press book 
(Bloodletting press), I think it's a little pricey if you aren't already a 
big fan.
