[grimoire] OT: graphic novels

I read a lot of comics in general, and these days tend to buy graphic novels for convenience (so easy to miss issues). I can't think of any adaptations I've read lately. Knocked over a few horror (or vaguely horror themed ones though). Got the entire run of Preacher, while it's not outright horror I think there is enough in it to qualify :) Black Gas 1 & 2 is kinda Dawn of the Dead crossed with The Fog - I quite enjoyed that. And to finish with even more Zombies, The Walking Dead never fails to disappoint.

  Anyone here into graphic novels?

I've read a few, and have enjoyed all of them.

My recent two purchases were SPAWN: Armageddon collection and Clive Barker's THE GREAT AND SECRET SHOW.

The SPAWN one was much better than the latter. Is it just me, or do novels/short stories not make the transition into comic book form well? Every time I read a comic based on a book, I'm disappointed.

  Jason
