This one got a starred review in the new Fangoria, and it sounded intriguing so I figured I'd check it out.
 
Very inventive story.  Very reminiscent of the Christopher Nolan film, Memento.  Basically, if you put The Matrix, Memento, and Jaws into a blender, THE RAW SHARK TEXTS would be left.
 
I found it was a unique read, but everytime I read a book that tries pushing the boundaries like this one, (eg:  blank pages/weird fonts/backwards writing/etc) I find that the book gets too caught up in it's absurdity and it detracts from the human element of the story.  I had the same problem with HOUSE OF LEAVES.  Very cool book, but not a great read.
