[grimoire] Read two books this week...

I don't remember reading Beware. Is it a new one or is it another one where they've retitled it? This is something I've noticed lately and I find a little frustrating at least three of Laymon's books have popped up with new titles and covers.

Have just read the three Dexter novels. Particularly liked the first two, the third I'm not sold on. While it was an enjoyable enough read I wasn't entirely happy with the direction Jeff Lindsay took the story.

I was in Indianapolis for a conference and had a lot of down time

The first one was Richard Laymon's BEWARE. Everyone is familiar with Laymon. If you like him, you'll probably like this one. If you don't like him, this one won't convert you. Not one of his better ones, but does have its moments

The second one was Jeff Strand's GLEEFULLY MACABRE TALES. AWESOME. Easily the funniest collection I've ever read. Strand is 2 for 2 so far. The other one I read was PRESSURE, which was a serious book, unlike his other horror comedies

Just about finished with Benchley's THE DEEP
