For those who haven't sampled the book yet, SHIMMER is a kind of a mix of
Stephen King & Joss Whedon sensibilities. To use my previous books as a
benchmark, it falls more in the WITHER mode as opposed to that of KINDRED
SPIRIT, but it's a bit more dark fantasy than WITHER, so it skews more
toward (and beyond) WITHER'S RAIN and WITHER'S LEGACY. You can read a

For those reading the eSerial, please take a moment to answer the poll
question on the same page. I'm creating SEVEN eBook formats and wondering if
they are all necessary. Per a mobile read forum's request, I added ePub to
the other formats. eReader is the most problematic to create, so I'm
wondering if that's even necessary. The other formats are RTF, HTML, PDF
(Desktop & Tagged, for reflow), and Mobipocket.

A week ago I posted Chapters 7-9; today I posted the next 4 chapters. My
goal is to post at least one chapter of the eSerial each week. Since I
posted 7 chapters in a one-week span, that doesn't mean I'm going to take
off the next 6 weeks. :-) Expect more next week.

Someone asked me how many chapters are in Shimmer. Without checking to be
sure, I believe the number is 53, plus an epilogue. It's about 101,000 words
long.
