I *love* that series.  The loss of Douglas Adams so young was a big blow to the world of literature.  I agree that Marvin stole the show frequently.  Some of the exchanges between Ford and Arthur were classic as well (the "eddies in the space-time continuum" comes to mind -- it was shades of the 3 stooges :-).

I have all of the audiobooks read by Adams himself, which added a lot, IMHO.

This was a huge book, compiling all 5 books of the Hitchhiker's Guide series.

I loved it.  Not all 5 books were strong, but all of them had their moments.  "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", and "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" were my two favorite books.

My favorite character was "Marvin".  I laughed out loud at the majority of his scenes.

Good stuff

Jason
