This is a Bloch short story collection.  It is volume 2 in the "Complete stories of Robert Bloch" series.
 
Very, very good stuff.  I love Bloch's short stories.  They are even better than his novels, in my opinion.
 
Now reading Adams' "The Ultimate Hickhiker's Guide to the Galaxy."  It includes all of the books in his series.  Never thought I'd read it; it was a christmas gift, so I'll give it a try.
