I haven't read Nocturnes but it's on my Amazon Wish List.

That's just sad, the low turnout for his signing. I think Connolly is a much better writer than some of those who are always on the best seller list. He should draw at least as big a crowd as John Grisham or James Patterson.

I wish Connolly would bite the bullet and write some straight-out horror. Some of his crime novels have a slight supernatural element, but it's like Connolly doesn't want to go there, or not all the way.

BTW -- did you see that Amazon is selling King's new novel Under the Dome for $9? They're matching the Wal-Mart price. That's $26 off the retail price. I bought two, so my daughter can have her own copy. That's cheaper than most paperbacks!

Ah, OK, so Book of Lost Things is a novel -- when you mentioned it I thought is was his collection, but now that I think of it, that was "Nocturnes", which I have not read yet either. I really love his work, and have been reading them in order. I believe I've read the first 4 so far. I got interested in him when he came and did a signing and reading here in Dallas, for "Bad Men". Fewer than 10 people showed up for it, and he hasn't been back to Dallas since, sadly...
