I also picked up Lee/Pelan's SHIFTERS I've read and enjoyed both the Garton one, and Lee's, HOWEVER, I do consider chapbooks to be a huge ripoff. $15 for a paperback that is less than 50 pages long?! I do understand that they're autographed, therefore a collector's item. I've finished books and turned them in to my editor a year and a half or longer before they see print. This one seems to be coming in reverse. You can pre-order the book now, BUT I'm still in the process of writing it! So far, it's been a roller coaster ride. It's due April 1, revisions due Apr 30. Fortunately, it's a labor of love because I'm a huge fan of Supernatural (CW, FRIDAYS). It's the closest I've come to experiencing that anticipation of next week's new episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Best mix of horror and humor since BtVS was on the air.
