Funland was great. Laymon delivers the goods, as usual! Jason now reading Lestewka's THE PRESERVE -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I forgot where I had heard about this book, but it was highly recommended. It may have been Brian Keene's website, since there is a Keene blurb on the cover. This one was a really fun, action packed gorefest. Sorta reminded me of a more gruesome version of PREDATOR. Highly recommended Jason now reading Winter's Bone -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I think the writing was superb. The plot is very simple, yet there was definitely a feeling of dread throughout. BUT...I have to ask the people that read this one: Were you disappointed in the ending? I just feel like either I missed something, or the book was missing something. This book was amazing. Easily the most humorous, and wittiest book I've ever read. It tops Christopher Moore's stuff, Douglas Adams, Andrew Fox, etc... I do have a big soft spot for Jeff Strand's humor, so I'm not sure if I want to put Wong over him. Don Coscarelli (phantasm/bubba ho-tep) is directing the film adaptation has anyone else read this?
