Maybe I should stop reading Lee. He has disappointed me many times. I've only read Pelan once, and it was a short story written for the WHC gross out contest, and I really liked it. I guess it didn't help that the main character was a poet. (I hate poetry). I also found the writing very dull and tiresome. One was Peter Straub's Lost Boy Lost Girl, which was a Stoker winner. I thought it was ok. I generally do not get into Straub's novels. The only one I REALLY REALLY liked was "Ghost Story." I DO enjoy his short stories a lot more. The other one was Jeff Strand's FANGBOY, which was excellent. I'm high on Jeff Strand right now. The last few I've read were VERY good, especially Dweller and Pressure. FANGBOY feels like a campfire tale. It's a fun, quick read. now reading the long-awaited (for me at least) The Five, by Robert McCammon Jason -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... A legitimate contender for my favorite book ever written. The book is about a band being stalked by an insane ex-Marine, but it is really a 500 page love letter to the power of music. I'm not sure if this book touched me more because I'm a musician, and McCammon absolutely NAILS the musician's mindset here...or if it's just THAT good of a book Has anyone else read this?
