Yes, I am a nerd. A big ol' nerd. I do nerdy things and usually I like them a lot.

One of the nerdy things I have done recently is become interested in high availability solutions. In March of 2002, because we were investigating high availability at work, I wrote beware, a small DNS server that polls hosts before returning their IP addresses. Useful for global server load balancing. This isn't writing in the Hemingway sense (thank God), but it does have witty comments in the source code, so check it out.

Another nerdy thing I do is run my own server. I call her giggles. She is boxy but she is good. Some of my friends have accounts and websites on giggles. The primary domain is cavesofice.org.
