- A Layer mask simply applies a mask to a layer
- This mean that you must work on a layer and the "Background" is not considered a layer with this tool.
- Once you have created a mask your you will notice that your Foreground and Background colours have gone to black and white.
- Click on you mask in the layers pallet and then paint on your imgage in either black or white.
- White applies the mask and Black remove it.
- You can use other tools with the mask like gradient, fill, blurr and a lot of other!
- Clicking on the mask while holding down the Shift toggle Off/On
- Clicking on the mask while holding down the Ctrl creates a selection from the mask.
- Clicking on the mask while holding down the Alt toggles the mask over the image.
