- The Quick Mask and the Standard Mask work in conjunction.
- A Quick Mask simply applies a mask.
- A Standard mask returns a Quick mask to a Selection.
- Once you have clicked a Quick Mask you will notice that your Foreground and Background colours have gone to black and white.
- Using a regular brush paint on the image in either black or white.
- Black applies the mask and white remove it.
- You can use other tools with the mask like gradient, fill, blurr and a lot of others!
- All tools that are applied at this point only effect the mask and not the image.
- Click on Standard to change the mask back to a standard selection.
- Now all tools that are applied effect the image and not the mask
